Sadly Jossed, but there are a couple of scenes late in the manga that could be interpreted as Les Yay if you squint. It would be a brilliant twist because of certain expectations built up by the anime and Ship-to-Ship Combat. Also, we're going to get a scene at the end of the manga in which it looks like Rose is going to confess to Ed, but she instead pours her heart out to Winry.INCOMING SHIP!!! Not that there's anything wrong with that!.Rose is bisexual, and it's Winry, not Ed, who she really likes.Additionally, that dead boyfriend of hers? The original Japanese version of the manga apparently used a gender-neutral word for "lover" and never went into more detail about that lover's gender. And Father wasn't just looking for a soul either because Al and Mei were closer. Also the Father of the homunculie after being beaten down and diminished and crying out for a stone went straight for Ed. This has the bonus of him not dying young after using his life to heal himself. So all that energy now is within the Philosophers Stone that now is Ed's soul. So given that Pride was Brought Down to Normal, all the energy had to go somewhere because energy can't be created or destroyed, only transformed, and there wasn't an explosion or shock wave to show that the energy of Pride's stone was released. And on top of that Pride's stone wasn't empty yet. Ed is now a Philosophers StoneThink about it, when he turned himself into a stone first to heal himself after being impaled by an I-beam in a mineshaft that Kimblee blew up and then to force his way into Pride's Stone, that isn't something that can just be undone as soon as he isn't paying attention to holding it up anymore.
